Bury faced top of the table UEA 3 and were a match for their youthful opposition in the opening exchanges. However, UEA’s quality began to tell and Bury found themselves under increasing pressure. UEA took the lead through a penalty corner and quickly added to their total soon after. After an inspiring halftime team talk from deputising captain Patrick Sullivan, Bury began to create chances. Robert Fiske came very close to narrowing the deficit with a trademark deflection, but it was not to be. Young legs made the difference in the end as UEA finished the game 6 goals to the good, showing why they are leading the way in this division.
