Another strong performance

Bury got off to a flying start with Heather Dunand opening the scoring within the first minute of play. Bury hoped that this would lead the way to a flurry of goals but despite great efforts from Dom Dibble, Izzy Johnson, Lilia Payne, Bury struggled to find the back of the net. The IES goalkeeper continued to make great saves from multiple open play and short corner opportunities, it had started to feel like one of those days where the ball just wouldn't go in the goal. Bury were kept at bay until Dom Dibble was able to scramble the ball over the line following nice connecting play from Heather Dunand and Georgie Coote. Bury went into the half time break 2-0 up.

IES started the second half with pace and had some good attacking opportunities but these were swiftly dealt with by the strong Bury defence. Bury soon got a hold of the game again and made multiple opportunities but continued to struggle to find the final product despite the forwards and midfields great efforts. Heather Dunand secured her brace by converting another scramble in front of goal. Final score 3-0. Player of the match went to Heather!
