Bury started strong with a powerful cross ball from Dom Dyball through to Heather Dunand who deflected it into the back of the net within the first two minutes of play. Peterborough had some attacks at goal but Lucy Gunson and the defence kept the ball out of the goal. After being awarded a short corner Dom Dyball converted the opportunity, making it 2 -0. The game continued to flow and there was some excellent passing sequences carried out by the Bury squad, resulting in a number of opportunities on goal.

Bury entered the second half 2 - 0 up and continued to soak up the pressure from the opposition. However Bury were controlling most of the play and had numerous chances in the attacking ‘D’.
Kaitlin Riddle managed to make it 3 - 0 when she moved onto the ball at the top of the ‘D’ and slammed it into the bottom corner. Ari Dyball made some impressive passes into the attacking ‘D’ creating opportunities to strike on goal.
Georgia Wishlade finished superbly with her strike towards the Peterborough keeper to score the fourth Bury goal making the final and convincing score line of 4 - 0.
