Dragons started strong forcing Bury to defend well. After a flurry of defensive short corners a quick break from bury resulted in an offensive short corner against the grain of play. Liv Hyndman scored a cracker from the short into the keepers right post at 11’.
The first half continued with strong possession from dragons and a record number of defensive short corners against us. Kept out well by the bury short corner team.
At 22’ Heather Dunand scored from open play after a great cross from Emma Smith.
Shortly after, from a hit out by Tash Ingram at 25’, Heather Dunand scored again with an assist from Sophie Edgehill.
Bury finished the first half defending well to keep the scoreline 3-0.
The second half was another tough 35mins with great discipline and drive from Bury. Including playing a couple of mins down a player due to some cards. Dragons scored a great goal from the edge of the D towards the end. The final whistle blew with a 3-1 win to Bury. Player of the Match was Keeper Lucy Gunson.
