L2s took on Wisbech at home, and unfortunately the weather seemed to be more in their favour. The game started out quite even with the evenly matched teams contesting strongly in the middle of the pitch. It was Wisbech that struck first with a bout of short corners resulting in a goal after a messy scrabble on the floor dribbled over the line. Jen Dahl received a green card and Bury attacked winning some short corners that couldn't be converted.
In the second half, Bury came out fighting. A five minute period of attack in Wisbech's D was relentless but the defence was unbreakable and Bury again couldn't get the much needed goal. More battling in the middle and the game seemed close until Wisbech won another corner, setting up a well worked routine to put it in the back of the net. A well fought match for Susie James, taking Player of the Match
