A fantastic performance from all the girls at Felixstowe today as Bury entered two sides into the In2Hockey tournament.
Despite the atrocious weather the A's won their first game 7-0 against Sudbury B. They then faced IES A team and came away with a draw. This was followed by a 1-0 victory against Felixstowe.
The B's also played well winning two games - 1-0 against IES B, and 2-0 against Ipswich, together with a 0-1 loss to Sudbury A. This left them also as pool winners.
After a warm up and team chat the A's played Sudbury A and won 4-0 whilst the B's had a narrow 2-0 defeat to IES A, thus missing out on an all Bury final.
The B's then lost the third/fourth place game 2-1 to Sudbury A leaving the A's to fight out the final with IES A.
The game finished goalless, but Bury went on to win a penalty shuffle and give them victory - the girls will now go on to represent the county in the regional finals at the end of April.
Well done to all of the girls who played today - the club is very proud of you.
