Whiting’s wonders travelled to Norwich City this week wanting to match Liverpool’s record this season of win after win. Bury turned out a very mixed team of youth and ability and came out winners 2-0. This is the best the 3’s have played all season and will only get stronger as time goes on. The first goal came from Alex "Deadeye" Jones who hit the keeper in the helmet to calmly slide the ball home as it came down on his reverse. Norwich where pinned back most of the game and had no answer, even when Oscar "Boot" Bedford got a green Bury still stayed in control. The second goal was slotted home by Steven "Panda" Gilfillan who pounced on it like he was Po from Kung fu Panda chasing a dough ball.
That’s is now 4 wins on the trot to keep Bury joint top, a perfect way to celebrate captain Whiting’s birthday weekend.
