England Hockey has just announced a landmark three-year partnership with Channel 4 as the Official Broadcast Partner for the FIH Hockey Pro League. This ground-breaking agreement will bring top-tier international hockey to free-to-air television across the UK, allowing more people than ever to enjoy, engage with, and share the game we all love.
England Hockey needs your support to make the most of this exciting development. Spread the word, tune in, engage with the broadcasts, and encourage others to do the same. Together, we can share the love of hockey and grow our incredible community.
Highlights of the partnership:
- Coverage starts on 1 December 2024 on Channel 4 Sport YouTube, with England Women vs. Olympic silver medallists China.
- England Men begin their campaign 11–15 December in Argentina, facing Argentina and Ireland.
- Matches will initially air on Channel 4 Sport YouTube, with plans to expand to main Channel 4 as audiences and reviewing figures grow.
- Channel 4’s free coverage includes the 2025 London leg at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre (14–22 June).
- Non-England matches in December can be streamed for free on the FIH website. From January, they’ll move to the FIH Watch Hockey paywall platform.
- This partnership arrives at an exciting time for hockey as we build momentum towards hosting the EuroHockey Championships in 2027.
