Please stick to these

With the league season fast approaching, please find a brief reminder of a few ‘house rules’ that we need to ensure are applied by all

• Turn left to train - please ensure when knocking up/practicing shooting/etc. that you turn left when entering the Walled Garden pitch - this will ensure that any lifted balls/deflected shots do not endanger those playing tennis nearby

• Pedestrian access – as part of the ongoing review of facility safety the pedestrian access to the sports centre from the car park has changed - pedestrians can now walk through a floodlit walkway on the right-hand side of the car park down the newly resurfaced footpath to the access the sports centre and astro pitches

• Culford is a non-smoking site – this applies to all areas both inside and outside the buildings and astro pitches

• Car parking - please ensure that you only park in designated parking areas, not on the roads or grass verges. Please also ensure that the marked mini bus bays at the bottom of the sports centre are left vacant - these vehicles are in and out all day and evening and the drivers do need to park back in the allocated spaces when returning to ensure that they are easily available and located for the next morning and to keep the top end of the car park clear and safe for customers. Don't forget the overflow car park to the South of the Walled Garden pitch - the entrance to this is opposite the church

• Traffic regulations – please ensure that you comply with Culford’s traffic regulations. For clarity, there are several speed restrictions around the site, as well as a few one-way systems. Please ensure that you are familiar with these and follow them

• Waste - as we all know, we have a fantastic facility at Culford which we are all proud of. However, in order that it looks at its best please ensure that you dispose of all your litter before you leave after a game or training. Ideally, please take this away with you for recycling in the correct manner, however, failing that please put it in one of the bins situated around the site. This doesn't apply just to bottles, but also to disposable cups, food wrappers, banana skins, tape, etc - all those things that we regularly find at the side of the pitches. Please bring re-usable bottles, cups, containers if you can so that we can keep waste to a minimum - but if this isn't possible, please dispose of things responsibly

Thanks in anticipation - let's ensure that all of these become second nature
