Following several recent injuries BSEHC would like to reiterate the clubs position on protective equipment. In line with England Hockey guidance:

It is the club policy that all youth players (i.e.under 18) MUST wear shin pads and a gumshield while engaging in any club sponsored hockey activity. This includes training, Turn Up & Play and matches.

The club also strongly recommends that all adult players wear appropriate protective equipment. We would also urge any player who is going to be defending short corners to consider investing in an appropriate face mask.
