Crushing WIn

The warm up was wet, however, the game was full of brightness as it was not long before Bury scored through some accurate passing down the right. The ball was then caressed through the sprawling keeper and firmly hit the backboard. We were off and running, literally, with fluent passing and energy shown by the whole team that resulted in a second before half time. Plenty of pressure was applied to the IES goal and had it not been for some very good goalkeeping several more goals would have been scored. It was great to see the confidence of the younger players, Ben, Will and Max growing throughout the game and it was Ben who converted his chances with ease, accuracy and power. The third of his four goals was a screamer from the top of the D which flew high into the back of the net and the broad grin across his face was replicated by his team mates. Nick and Elliot added the other two with some neat skills whilst the defense remained calm which Richard being called in action on a few occasions to save well and clear our lines. A good win for all before next weeks game away at fourth placed Pelicans.

MoM was Ben Alberts, scoring 4 one of which was an absolute screamer that took the off the top of the net!
