Bury Ladies travelled to Ipswich Hockey Club on a sunny day. Following a strong start to the match, Haley made some insane saves to keep the girls in the game for a 0-0 first half.
However, during the third quarter, the team suffered a small blip of tiredness. Ipswich took advantage, controlled the game, and scored two quick goals. The girls soon found their form again, with Jen scoring an incredible goal that slipped past the keeper.
As Ipswich’s heads went down, the team sought the opportunity to create some great midfield play. This resulted in Libby using her first touch to slap the ball into the corner of the goal for her first of the season.
The girls were disappointed with the loss, but playing with no subs resulted in an entertaining game with a few cards given to Sophie, Libby, and Jen.
Overall, it was a hard-fought battle resulting in a 3-2 loss, but the team is looking forward to next week's match.
