Bury ladies 2s traveled to Taverham to play Norwich city 2s. After a slightly uneasy start, Bury settled into play as they became more familiar to the bouncy pitch. This game saw a season debut for Emma Whiting in goal.
Possession was around 50/50 with both teams making good ground on their attacking breaks. Short corners were awarded both ends but only Norwich were able to convert one of theirs with a 'through the eye of a needle' style goal between Emma Whiting's kicker and the left hand post.
An error from the bury defense was utilised by Norwich for an open play goal.
Half time score, Bury 2s 0-2 Norwich City 2s
The second half was much more of the same for balanced possession game with opportunities in both Ds. Great hassling by the forward three of Katie Slark-Hollis, Alva Holmefjord Phillips and Libby Ong kept the Norwich defense on their toes. A miss-trap in the attacking zone was exploited by Libby Ong to give Bury a well deserved goal.
Continued competitive plays by both teams kept the possibility of another goal on the cards but then the final whistle blew.
