An important win for our 2nd team!

This Saturday the ladies 2s hosted Norwich City for an important low table clash.

Play began evenly either both teams winning short corners but unable to convert and taking advances down the pitch wide channels.
The first goal of the game came from one-two passes between Katie Slarks-Hollis and Juliet Konrath in the central channel. Katie Slarks-Hollis then skipped around the defenders and slipped the goal over the line, taking the score at half time Bury 1-0 Norwich City

Second half started well for Bury with a defensive break from Tilly Heath who passed it up the line for Henrietta Croot; a further pass to Libby Ong on a baseline spring before crossing into in Jennifer Dahl to secure the second goal.

A break with 10minutes to go for Norwich City allowed them to have a 1v1 against keeper Bea Woodroof who made the initial save but was unable to keep the rebound shot out of the goal. The last minutes of the game were tense with competitive play at both ends; Bury had more opportunities for short corners but all shots were to no avail.
