A promising start and some great play for the Ladies 3s

Playing against a 1st team is always a challenge and Felixstowe had picked up some fast young players which proved a challenge to Bury in the first 20mins when they went 1-0 down. However, once they settled Bury played some much better flowing hockey and proved they could match the away team. A great team effort culminating in Jasmine Westcott scoring a super goal allowed Bury to go into half time with hope for a win.
However Felixstowe again began the second half in charge and were awarded with a few PC’s and a bit of a fluke own goal put them into the lead.
Bury had a few attacking plays and were unlucky when Jasmine saw her shot go just wide of the post.
Final score was a 2-1 loss. Onwards to Sudbury next week where it’s a 3rd team against a 3rd team.
Star player was Sophie Williams ⭐️ for some good saves and positive calling in goal.
