Team rallies to take the points despite challenges

Following a resounding win against Ipswich last week, Bury ladies 3’s were hoping for a great performance against Sudbury 2’s however the home team were determined to put a stop to that. Bury struggled to find their rhythm and soon went a goal down. Bury were relying on individual possession which Alva was able to provide, with some super runs causing problems for the Sudbury defence. Just before half time Bury equalised with a well worked penalty corner.
After harsh words at the half time team talk Bury stepped back onto the pitch with renewed vigor however, an unfortunate clash of heads saw their player/coach having a trip to hospital. She was delighted to hear that the team had rallied and Cheryl Bosman had scored the winning goal from a penalty corner.
Goal scorers were Katie Bedford and Cheryl Bosman.
Star players were Sophie Williams who had an outstanding game in goal and Alva Holmefjord-Phillips for her penetrating runs at goal.
