Bury Women’s 3rd Team put in a strong performance to earn a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Sudbury’s 2nd Team. Despite Sudbury sitting higher in the league table, Bury controlled the game well, applying consistent pressure and preventing Sudbury’s more skillful players from taking charge.

Bury took the lead in the first half through Nina's goal, who finished well after some good build-up play. The 3s moved the ball effectively up the sidelines, keeping Sudbury on the back foot.

Just a minute into the second half, Bella doubled Bury’s advantage with a well-deserved goal. Sudbury responded with a late goal of their own, but Bury’s solid defensive work and Ella’s excellent goalkeeping ensured they held on for the win. The whole team showed great effort and determination throughout.

Bella was voted star player for her unwavering commitment, impressive play down the sideline, and well-timed goal. Even after a nasty clash with Sudbury’s goalkeeper she kept smiling.

Bury also had amazing support from Katie, Holly, and Georgie, who helped guide the team to success with their encouragement and leadership.

It was a fantastic team effort, and this win will give Bury plenty of confidence for the rest of the season.
