Tournament Champions

Burys U12 Orange team consisting of Charlotte, Annie, Lara, Amber, Bea, Immy, Sophie & Scarlet went in to the tournament hopeful of some good results. First game was against a well organised IES team with Bury eventually opening them up and winning 5-0 with goals from Bea x2, Annie x1 and Sophie x2. Next up was Ipswich seeing Bury win 3-1 with goals from Immy x2 and Bea. Last group game was against Sudbury seeing Bury come alive winning 4-0, some great team goals Amber x2, Immy x1 and Bea x1.
Out of the group stages and in to the semi finals Bury played a strong Sudbury A team, again some great team work, chasing back, the hard work paid off with Bury winning 3-0 Sophie x1 and Immy x2.
Final game, Winners would be champions! this was against Sudbury A, an end to end game with Charlotte having to save 3 one on ones, running out of puff the girls dug deep to earn a 0-0 draw.
Nail biting shuffles was the only way to decide the champions, Up first was Sophie who slotted home to go 1-0, Charlotte made a great save to take the lead, Next up was Amber who was cm's from scoring narrowly skimming the post, Sudbury found the back of the goal to make it 1-1. Sudden death! last up was Immy full of confidence from a great tournament slotted home between the gk's legs, it was all down to the last shuffle, Charlotte came out of her goal big as can be and made a double save to become champions. A horrible way to lose for Sudbury from a game that could have gone either way. Hopefully some friendlies can be arranged between Sudbury and Bury to prepare for the regional finals.
