Boys beat St Neots to win the 5-7 place EH Cup play-offs

The team faced a huge task today with just 11 players available, including 2 U12’s and a guest player who hadn’t touch his hockey stick since last season. They set to the task and after a tentative start go the ball moving across the pitch and dominated the opposition. It took 20 minutes before Guy Salisbury scored his first goal. Half time score 1-0, 3 more goals followed in the second half scored by Guy (2) and Henry Green (1). Midway through second half St Neots scored, but this didn’t deter the boys at all. They did score a second goal in the final minutes of the game, mainly as our boys were tired after 60 minutes of solid hockey, with no substitutes.
