Under 14's Win

This was the second EH competition match of the season following a 2-1 win against Norwich Dragons 2-1 last month.

Bury hosted Spalding at Culford and after a tight beginning Bury started to exert pressure on the Spalding defence with both Guy Manley and Alex Bettley providing a solid defensive platform and distributing the ball well. Although Bury kept Spalding pegged back they could not convert this into goals until James Walshe scored just before half time.

Bury continued to play within the Spalding half and scored again with Alex Bettley finishing a short corner routine. Then came a sustained period of pressure from Spalding with them scoring a well worked goal. Spalding continued to press but Bury’s defence was well organised. The final score was 2-1 to Bury which sees them top the table after two games.
