In an electrifying match at Gainsborough Sports Center, the Ladies 4s faced off against a formidable top league team. Holding their ground with precision and unity, the team earned a penalty corner that was expertly converted by Georgie Northeast-Roffey, assisted by Sara Foster, to put the Ladies on the scoreboard.
At halftime, with the teams deadlocked at 1-1, a motivating team talk emphasised maintaining pressure and continuing their stellar performance. This strategy paid off as Sara Foster struck again with another flawless penalty corner conversion, followed by a another goal from the Christchurch Ladies.
Despite a valiant effort, an unfortunate short corner conversion by the opposition left the Ladies 4s trailing 3-2 as time expired. With two out of three short corners successfully converted, goalie Kerry Woods, Hannah Pamplin, and Sara Foster were deservedly recognized as the players of the match in a thrilling three-way tie.
Although today ended in a narrow loss, the Ladies 4s showcased unwavering effort and determination. They are determined to bounce back stronger next week, ready to conquer new challenges. Onwards and upwards towards more triumphs ahead!"
