Plate Beckons

Bury over 40s first round saw them draw a very strong Norwich City side. In a very exciting first five minutes Norwich scored only for Jason Etherington to calmly round the keeper and slot the ball home. Norwich had the better of the chances and took a further lead. With superior numbers on the bench to Norwich's bare eleven, Bury thought that the second half would be there for the taking, but Norwich played well and kept the ball. Andy Longfield kept Bury in the game saving shots and shorts. Bury had couple of chances towards the end of the game with Paul Lawrence skimming the post but the equaliser escaped them so they now look forward to the plate competition on 5th December.
