After what seemed like a long break over December and last week's outing being thwarted by the weather, the ladies were pleased to get the all clear for this weeks match to go ahead, despite the very cold conditions.

Play started well for Bury with early attacks down the right hand side found the ball in the IES D and a flurry of sticks was ended after Devonne Kennedy managed to get the ball over the line for her first of the game, just 4 minutes in. Barely two minutes later, Dev took her second.

Play continued well, with lots of joined up play, and the ball barely making into Bury 5s half of the pitch.

A super cross sent in from the right hand side found Sarah Wills with the ball in front of the keeper. Willsy showed great restraint in holding and controlling the receive ahead of sinking it for her first of the game.

Alex Huggins found herself on the right hand side of the D and finding an unmarked gap, slotted in Bury's 4th ahead of the halftime break.

Bury continued playing really well, with superb passing and creating fantastic opportunities in the D. Willsy found another from top D with a signature lifted shot, and a flurry of slaps in the D saw Fran Clear taking one home for Bury.

With 5 mins on the clock, Georgina Garner, in her first game for the Bury 5s scored, and with only 2 minutes left Dev cemented her hattrick taking the final score to an 8-0 win for Bury.

This was a strong outing for the ladies with lots of notable performances. The team played some great hockey, with fantastic passing being the hero of the day.

Player of the match was a split affair with lots of players getting mentions, how-ever Daisy Sharp just pipped Georgina Garner to take the award for the day.
