11. Terms of Membership

CLUB MEMBERS

When joining the Club and upon annual renewal of your membership all Club members confirm their agreement to comply with the following Terms of Membership:

POLICIES

Members are required to comply with all policies and procedures as published and posted on the Club website. In accordance with these policies, Members undertake not to bring the Club into disrepute by actions, behaviour, language or comments in a public forum.

INSURANCE

The Club has public liability insurance that covers the Club and its Members from claims by third parties. It does not cover personal injury sustained by Members. The Club therefore advises that the Member take out their own personal injury insurance cover. Gum shields and shin pads are a requirement for all matches and training sessions for age group U14 and below.

CONSENT - EMERGENCIES

By paying a membership fee, or renewing a membership, you agree for the Member to fully partake in the activities of the Club. You give consent for the Club to seek appropriate medical attention for the Member, should they be incapacitated, and neither Emergency Contact, nor Parent/Guardian, be available. You further agree for the Club to transport the Member via public transport or private vehicle to matches or training sessions.

PAYMENT TERMS

Membership and match fees are collected through Pitchero. Please note, we do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Any claims for refunds or cancellation should be made to the Club Treasurer in the first instance. We will process such claims within 28 days.

IMAGERY

The Club, from time to time, may wish to use images or footage from events, games or training sessions to promote the Club. Membership of the Club confers consent for the Club to use such images and footage of Members in such a manner.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The Club recognises social media as a powerful medium for spreading the commitment and passion for hockey as a sport and past time, and encourages Members to promote the good ideals of the Club through this format. Members should at all times think about the impact of their communication, and the Club in no way tolerates any abuse of any form.

USE OF DATA

The Club maintains this information on a database for use by authorised Club personnel only. The statistics are used by the Club to complete England hockey affiliation forms. The Club will also use this information to keep you informed of forthcoming club events.
